Grief Treatment Research Study

Do you know parental suicide bereaved families who could use help with prolonged grief? They may be eligible to participate in a treatment development research study.

Collaborative Research Between Columbia University & University of Pittsburgh

The research team is testing a new treatment approach to help families with children ages 8-14 who lost a parent to suicide. Families where either a parent, a child or both are struggling with persistent intense grief may be eligible to participate.

Eligible families will receive 16 sessions of a family-focused prolonged grief treatment. All families will participate in regular, separate study assessment visits. Compensation is provided for these visits.

All study assessments and treatment visits are virtual.

If you know someone who may be eligible, please share this information with them.
